Cell Operator
Job Description
What a Machine Operator will do:
- Read calibrated measurement instruments (caliper, tape measure…) and convert fractions to decimals
- Rotate to other areas of the department to assist team members when the current workload is complete
- Proactively take steps to reduce and eliminate quality, 5S, maintenance, and efficiency issues
- Read and understand production metrics
- Take part in monthly presentations and continuous improvement efforts
- Identify quality problems and repair them quickly
- Ensure accuracy of parts and inventory by ensuring proper inspecting and labeling techniques
- Ability to handle repetitive lifting while using proper lifting techniques on a daily basis
- Ability to work overhead and stand up constantly throughout the day
- Open to flexibility in your work schedule; able to work for 10 hours up to 4 -6 months
- Must maintain a reliable work schedule
