We are seeking candidates for Cast Operator roles on the 1st shift. Compensation for this temp-to-hire opportunity ranges between $18.00-$20.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. What a Cast Operator will do:
What a Cast Operator will do:
- Observe continuous operation of manual and/or automatic machines to ensure that products meet specifications and detect malfunctions, adjusting as instructed
- Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments
- Set up, operate, or tend to metal casting machines to cast metal parts or products
- Position and secure workpieces on machines
- Remove finished products from dies using hand tools, air hoses, and other equipment
- Trim excess material from parts
- Place product into the appropriate container
- Install dies onto machines or presses, then coat dies with parting agents account to work order specifications
- Accurately record production transactions and work time
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions and procedures
- Knowledge of appropriate procedures for using specific equipment and machines to meet defined quality standards
- Ability to continuously lift 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Basic ability to read, write, and comprehend verbal instruction in English, including safety, work instruction, LMS training, etc.
