Earn up to $2,000 in bonuses! Doherty Staffing Solution is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Forest Lake, MN. We are seeking candidates for CNC Machinist roles on the 2nd shift. Compensation for this direct-hire opportunity ranges between $60,850-$67,080 per year, depending on skills and experience. What a CNC Machinist will do:
- Set up and machine all tooling required for making horseshoes, following all safety and SOP regulations and procedures, including Mustad Performance Systems (MPS)
- Operate a minimum 2 CNC machines at one time
- Prepare, cut, and grind raw materials used in the horseshoe manufacturing process
- Perform setup and running of the Wire EDM, and other equipment as needed
- Prepare documents and reports as needed or requested with ERP software
- Perform quality control checks on all jobs
- Obtain cross-training on all machines, and cross train other machinists
- Make recommendations on process improvements and changes
- Training and/or certification in CNC machine operation
- 3+ years of CNC experience (including setup experience)
- 5+ years of CNC experience may be considered in lieu of formal CNC training
- Working knowledge of standard inspection tools
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to train and coach others, contribute as a team member
- Excellent problem-solving skills and blueprint interpretation
- Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations
