What a CNC Machine Operator will do:
- Operate CNC machines, including setting up and adjusting tools as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and tolerances
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production
- Assemble components as required, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications
- Work with tooling and stamping presses as necessary for production processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity
- Proficiency in basic math for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with logic controllers used in CNC machinery
- Strong blueprint reading skills to interpret technical documents effectively
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus for material handling tasks
- Knowledge of tooling techniques and stamping press operations is advantageous
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Previous experience in a factory or manufacturing environment is beneficial
