What you will do as a Break Press Operator:
What you will do as a Break Press Operator:
- Setup and operate computer programmable/controlled brake press machines
- Plan and layout bending sequence, referring to drawings, blueprints or specifications
- Bend a variety of products or assemblies of small, light to average weight following standard procedures
- Request assistance on large or heavy sheet metal blanks
- Setup up various types of metal in performing operations in forming
- Align, fit, and adjust parts to meet operating requirements of unit
- Troubleshoot and rework pieces that fail tests
- Assist Engineering personnel in the modification, parts substitution, and repair
- Perform minor maintenance procedures
- Coordinate orders on carts by ship date
- Knowledge of computer programmable/controlled brake press machines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Knowledge and concern for safety and quality control
