What you will do as a Batch Color Mixer:
What you will do as a Batch Color Mixer:
- Verify that raw materials are contained in various packaging types are approved for use before starting a batch
- Pre-weigh specified amounts of chemical ingredients according to batch ticket and transport items to the designated mixing area
- Add ingredients in a specified sequence into mixing vessels using pumps, hoses, hoists, or by hand, and operate mixing vessels to compound ingredients together involving mixing, heating, and cooling operations
- Monitor the compounding of the production batch throughout the specified steps of the production cycle, and clean kettles, tanks, hoses, and general work area after each production cycle
- Take samples to Quality Control for approval, and document steps and yield results in the process on batch records
- High School Diploma preferred
- Knowledge of safety devices and mixing equipment
- Detail oriented with good organizational skills
- Ability to meet the lifting requirements of the company with or without reasonable accommodations – moderate to heavy physical activity on a daily basis
- Strong communication and time management skills
