Job Description
Looking for a new opportunity? Don’t miss out on this role! Doherty Staffing Solutions is currently partnering with a leading supplier in the fishing industry located in Spirit Lake, IA. We are seeking candidates for Bait Packager roles on the 1st shift. Hours for this position are from 4:00pm-2:00am, Monday through Thursday. Compensation for this temp-to-hire role is $20.21 per hour. Interested? Read below for more information! What a Bait Packager will do:
- Distribute work assignments to assembler/packagers
- Perform setup operations
- Tend to the packaging equipment for continuous operation
- Make routine machine adjustments
- Troubleshoot first-level issues and performs first level maintenance
- Assists with tooling changeovers
- Ensure needed materials are available
- Change film and printer labels as necessary
- Maintain records and worksheets
- Ensure the designated packaging line operates efficiently
- High school diploma or GED; or 2+ months of related experience
- Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers and to multiply and divide
- Ability to perform calculations using weight measurements
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to understand and apply written and oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations
