Enjoy four-day workweeks with this automotive job in Pelican Rapids! Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading automotive company in Pelican Rapids, MN. We are seeking candidates for Automotive Assembly Technician roles on 1st shift. This daytime job will work 4 days per week from 7:00am-5:30pm, Monday through Thursday. Enjoy more 3-day weekends! Compensation for these contract jobs is $18.00-$21.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

What you'll do as the Automotive Assembly Technician:
- Install, test and repair 12 V electronics into vehicles, including light bars, laptop mounts, DVRs, sirens, recording devices, remote start systems, and microphones.
- Upfit vehicles with a variety of equipment, including prisoner transport seating, partitions, firearm mounts, equipment storage units, modified interior/exterior panels, and K-9 • equipment.
- Install 12 V electrical wiring, connect electrical fittings, and drill holes; perform all physical tasks associated with modifying vehicles for the installation of electronic equipment.
- Keep accurate records and maintain an orderly work environment.
- Perform multi-point inspections of vehicles.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Knowledge of the specific colors and color codes associated with electrical wiring preferred
- Skill in mechanical assembly to create and modify mechanical parts preferred
- Ability to disassemble and reassemble vehicle interiors to access electrical wiring without damaging vehicles or equipment preferred
- Ability to operate various pieces of equipment such as forklifts, milling machines, drill presses, metal shears, metal breaks, disc and belt sanders preferred
