Assistant Production Team Lead - 1st Shift
Job Description
What you will do as an Assistant Production Team Lead:
- Operation and preparation of scaling equipment
- Ensure accurate weights are obtained at various stages
- Assist with coordinating department activities within a production area to ensure department and company production is met in a timely manner
- Assist with maintaining tracking of daily KPI’s and communicate progress to their team utilizing hour-by-hour boards
- Promptly communicates any potential outages or shortcomings to Production Team Lead or Supervisor
- Assist with creating daily action plan to achieve attainment goals and “win the day”
- Assist with supporting autonomous maintenance through use of CID and CL standards
- Assist with coordinating and participating in Continuous Improvement, Safety, and Quality initiatives
- Assist with ensuring all required departmental checks are performed as required
- Assist with ensuring machine operator hand-off sheets are fully completed
- Assist with properly tracking and recording downtime
- Assist with performing Root Cause Analysis / Investigations, including but not limited to: Safety Incidents, Production Downtime, Food Safety/Quality, Food Waste issues
- Provide feedback for the creation of work procedures as they pertain to Safety, Qualit,y and Productivity
- Promote Food Safety by following all standards
- Complete daily production records and reports
- Assist with performing effective handoffs and communication at shift change with incoming Production Team Lead
- Assist in ensuring the correct inventory of supplies is present for the required jobs to be performed
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of manufacturing-related experience, preferably in food production
- Basic computer skills, entering data, Microsoft Office, and email
- Bilingual/Spanish or Somali (speaking/writing/ reading) preferred
- Resourceful with problem-solving skills
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to work a flexible schedule
