What a Quality Assurance Technician will do:
- Inspect all areas of the facility for GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) compliance, including sanitizer concentration, water temperatures, and cooler/freezer conditions
- Conduct weight checks in the Bakery, Icing, and Packaging areas; verify oven temperatures, perform metal detection, and label checks
- Confirm production standards and ensure proper documentation is completed
- Review and manage paperwork for HACCP, CCP, CP, SOP, and prerequisite programs, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and effective
- Monitor line cleaning processes, including cleanliness, water temperatures, and ATP analysis of food contact surfaces
- Perform and document routine inspections of finished products
- Observe production processes and record relevant data
- Retrieve samples from the warehouse for testing
- Participate in material review meetings and provide input on addressing product defects
- Track defects and share findings with appropriate personnel
- Promote food safety by upholding high-quality standards
- High school graduate or GED
- 1+ years of related working experience in food production
- Strong coaching, training, and project management skills
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with little supervision
- Good problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, MS Office
- Strong data entry skills
