Job Description

Doherty Career Solutions is partnering with a local Glenwood, MN client as they search for a 2nd shift Supervisor. This position must build strong relationships and have strong listening skills, be self-motivated, willing to work in a fast-paced environment and willing to lead and drive change. The 2nd Shift Supervisor will work (Monday - Thursday, 3:30p - 2a). In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the entire 2nd shift. Will need to coordinate work assignments and workflow within each department; a continuation of 1st shift. Will monitor employee progress and ensure the safety of their teams. Responsibilities-

- Practice proper compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment
- Completion of shift production and reporting paperwork
- Assist with Preventive Maintenance program as required
- Meet plant compliance metrics
- Meet or exceed facility housekeeping expectations
- Daily allocation and management of available resources to accomplish the shift’s assigned production duties
- Maintain and build job skills through company training programs
- Meet or exceed standard production efficiencies on all production lines
- Ensure that all employees on his/her shift are properly trained in the areas of safety and quality as well as all job functions
- Expedite product changeovers in an efficient manner
- In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the entire 2nd shift
- Will need to coordinate work assignments and workflow within each department; a continuation of 1st shift
- Will monitor employee progress and ensure the safety of their teams
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities

- High School Diploma or equivalent
