We are seeking candidates for Route Driver positions to work on the 1st shift. The hours for this position are 7:30 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday. What you will do as a Route Driver:
- Operate one or more types of company vehicles according to safety standards
- Inspect the softener and filters
- Directly interface with customers and perform routine customer service and order entry duties
- Deliver and exchange products (portable exchange tanks, salt, chemicals, filters, water, etc.) on a regularly scheduled basis to customers
- Make minor equipment repairs when necessary, including replacing hoses and gaskets, cleaning brine tanks, resetting controls, setting up coolers, etc.
- Document all repairs and deliveries in route book each day
- Collect and document receipts of money from customers and submit to manager daily
- Complete all paperwork in a legible manner: delivery tickets, route book, vehicle safety log, etc. as required
- Inspect/organize and clean vehicle
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid drivers license (in some cases CDL required)
- Ability to complete DOT licensing requirements
- Must abide by all company policies as contained in the Employee and Safety Handbooks, including wearing the required uniform
- Ability to operate carts, dollies, forklifts, lift gates, hand trucks, hand tools
- Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. and capable of moving up to 175 lbs.
- Comfortable driving and standing for extended periods as well as working in extreme weather conditions
- Route Driver II differential: 5 years+ experience, basic troubleshooting skills, provide 10-point inspection, and ability to train new drivers
