Job Description
Seeking a new opportunity in the Fargo area? Don’t miss this role! Doherty Staffing Solutions is currently partnering with a leading manufacturer of interstate power systems and bearing systems located in West Fargo, ND. We are seeking candidates for Parts Associate roles on the 1st shift. Hours for this shift are from 7:30am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Compensation for these opportunities is $20.00 per hour. What a Parts Associate will do:
What a Parts Associate will do:
- Read production schedule and orders (customer, work, shipping, requisition, etc.) to determine items to be removed, gathered, or distributed
- Transport materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code
- Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes to workers
- Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or transports orders to packing station or shipping department
- Mark materials with identifying information
- Open bales, crates, and other containers
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed
- Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
- Use computer to enter records
- Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications
- Drive vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment
- Experience operating forklifts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office including as Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
