What a Brake Press Operator will do:
- Set up and operate brake press machines to bend, shape, and form metal components according to specifications and blueprints
- Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and precision
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of brake press equipment
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications
- Identify and address any defects or issues with the parts
- Maintain high standards of quality throughout the production process
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure precise dimensions
- Report any safety concerns or incidents to the supervisor immediately
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding any issues or improvements
- Previous experience operating a brake press or similar machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Proficient in using measuring tools and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team #WorkNow
